Experience

Monica Derrick, Of Counsel to Burris & MacOmber PLLC, has been practicing law in Arizona since 2005.  Monica’s practice focuses largely on business and real estate transactional and litigation work.  Monica has assisted in several ground-up real estate development projects in Tucson, Phoenix, and Denver and has strong experience in all facets of real estate development, including lending transactions.

She is experienced in the formation and structuring of small businesses, real estate ventures and private equity funds.  Monica is very skilled in assessing complex commercial and corporate disputes and has abundant civil litigation and courtroom experience.

Being a small business owner herself, Monica understands the importance of maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards while also working hard to get deals done and get problems solved in the most skilled, productive and effective way possible.

Monica has strong ties to the Tucson community, both personally and professionally.  She was born and raised in Tucson and is raising her family in Tucson.
